Embers frozen into an ordered dither — dense at the strike point, scattering to single sparks at the edges.
# Forge Sparks — Dithered ## What you're building A drop-in, full-viewport animated hero: a shower of embers thrown off an anvil, frozen mid-flight and printed as an ordered-dither field on a single 2D `<canvas>`, with an editorial serif headline stack over it. The one idea that makes this piece distinct from its siblings: **nothing travels.** The burst is a fixed, seeded composition — dense and violent at the strike point, thinning to single scattered sparks at the edges — and the only motion is a local *restlessness*: sparks near the cursor shiver in place, as if the heat hasn't left them. It is the stillest and the most violent study in the set at the same time. Nothing scrolls. Study No. 3 of a four-part dithered-background series (Rose Window / Falling Ash / Forge Sparks / Cartographic Field). Same paper, same type, same CTA — completely different artwork engine.
